Before I start speaking to you, my fellow students – and I call you fellow students because I wish to remain a student. I wish to continue to learn and I hope that I have not yet stopped learning.
Chairman and members of the board, Director, faculty, staff, students, families of the graduating students, guests, and, most importantly, the graduating students, please accept my sincere thanks for inviting me to be part of this joyous occasion. IIM Calcutta’s Case Research Center (IIMCCRC), launches “FinEdge: Bionic Advisory for a Digital India” case study on FinEdge, one of India’s leading financial planning companies. The case study is based on FinEdge’s forward approach to the financial planning market. FinEdge is considered as one of the pioneers on the concept of Bionic Advisory; a business model that larger global and local players are now attempting to emulate.
Intaglio 2018, the Annual Business Summit of IIM Calcutta, will be held from 14th to 16th December 2018. It will feature 25 events in different verticals of Marketing, Finance, Strategy, Operations, etc. with a total prize money of INR 10 Lakhs. The last date for students to register for these events is 9th November 2018.
Prof. Sitangshu Kumar Chakraborty (born 20 January 1941) passed away in Kolkata on 13 September 2018 after a brief illness. He had a long association with IIM Calcutta for thirty two years where he served first as a faculty member in the Finance and Control Group and subsequently as the founder-convener of Management Centre for Human Values (MCHV) till his superannuation in 2003. After his superannuation, he was also instrumental in setting up Rabindranath Tagore Centre for Human Values at Kolkata under the aegis of Ambuja Neotia Group.
